Day 26-He'll Let Us Find Him

1 Chronicles 28:9-10 AMP
9 “As for you, Solomon my son, know the God of your father [have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with, and understand Him; appreciate, heed, and cherish Him] and serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind; for the Lord searches all hearts and minds, and understands every intent and inclination of the thoughts. If you seek Him [inquiring for and of Him and requiring Him as your first and vital necessity] He will let you find Him; but if you abandon (turn away from) Him, He will reject you forever. 10 Consider this carefully, for the Lord has chosen you to build a house for the sanctuary. Be courageous and strong and do it.”
David tells Solomon that if he will seek God, he will find Him.  He knows the assignment Solomon has been given to build a temple for God is impossible without God's help  God gave David the plans and finances it would take to complete it, but God had chosen Solomon to be the one to build it.
David urges his son to delight in the Lord and he tells him how to do that.
First, Solomon is to know God, have personal knowledge of Him, be acquainted with and understand Him, appreciate, heed, and cherish Him.
Second, serve Him with a blameless heart and a willing mind.  He tells him if he will seek God first, then He will find him.  Jesus tells us the same thing when He says to seek first the kingdom of God and all these things will be added to you.
The assignment Solomon and you have been given is impossible to accomplish without God.  The desires He has placed in your heart are way too big for you to do on your own.  To complete them successfully, you must seek and find God's help.  But you can be assured that if you will seek Him, He'll make sure you find Him.
David's final exhortation to Solomon applies to you and your assignment of achieving your God-given dreams.  Consider what he said carefully.
I have paraphrased 1 Chronicle 28:10 using the Message Bible and created a poster for my office as a reminder of God's expectations.  Any time I'm feeling that I can't do what He has called me to do, I'm reminded that God has chosen me to do this.  I only have to seek Him and I will find Him and the help I need that day.

Look sharp now!
God has chosen you to build this.
Be brave, determined!
And do it!

Have you found God and His plans for you to complete the desires of your heart?   If you haven't, seek Him until you find Him.  Once you have found Him, be brave, and determined, and just start doing it!
