Day 21 Knowing Him
Jeremiah 9:24 ESV But let him who boasts boast in this, that he understands and knows me, that I am the Lord who practices steadfast love, justice, and righteousness in the earth. For in these things I delight, declares the Lord.” Is there a person in your life who just "gets" you? They know how you are going to react in just about any situation. They get your sense of humor, know your values, and what your pressure points are. God wants us to know Him like that. To know someone that well, you have to spend time with them. The Bible tells us about God, but to truly know and understand Him, you must make an effort to be with Him. He wants you to know Him so well that you will see Him working in every circumstance. You need to understand Him, so you can represent Him in every situation. There was a short time in my life when I would take a day, once a month, to spend with God.
