Day 23 -Flourish

Another reward of delighting in the Lord is you flourish.  Flourish means to grow or develop in a healthy or vigorous way, especially as the result of a particularly favorable environment.  As you delight in the Lord, you create a favorable environment in which you grow strong, bear good fruit, are blessed, and prosperous your entire life.  The following verses give a clearer picture of what happens to those who delight in the Lord.

Psalm 1:1 TPT

What delight comes to the one who follows God’s ways!

He won’t walk in step with the wicked,

nor share the sinner’s way,

nor be found sitting in the scorner’s seat.

2 His pleasure and passion is remaining true to the Word of “I Am,”

meditating day and night in the true revelation of light.

3 He will be standing firm like a flourishing tree

planted by God’s design,]

deeply rooted by the brooks of bliss,

bearing fruit in every season of his life.

He is never dry, never fainting,

ever blessed, ever prosperous.

Psalms 92:12-14

Yes! Look how you’ve made all your lovers

to flourish like palm trees,

each one growing in victory, standing with strength![

13 You’ve transplanted them into your heavenly courtyard,

where they are thriving before you.

14 For in your presence they will still overflow and be anointed.

Even in their old age, they will stay fresh,

bearing luscious fruit and abiding faithfully.

Exercise in Delight:  Be aware of the environment you are creating today.  Your words and attitudes are what creates it, so adjust where you need to.  Make the decision to delight in the Lord and create an environment where you can flourish.
