Day 6-God is Singing to You



Your God is present among you,
    a strong Warrior there to save you.
Happy to have you back, he’ll calm you with his love
    and delight you with his songs. MSG


 The Lord your God is in the midst of you,
 a Mighty One, a Savior [Who saves]!
He will rejoice over you with joy; He will rest [in silent satisfaction] 
and in His love He will be silent and make no mention [of past sins, or even recall them];
He will exult over you with singing.  AMPC

Did you know God is singing to you?
He sings quiet songs to calm you and assure you of His presence. Like a father who sings a love a bye to his restless child, your Father is singing to you.  The sound of His song comforts you with His love and protection.
He sings a song of joy and deliverance over you.  These are encouraging and bring hope to your spirit and soul.
Sometimes, He lets you know what song He's singing.  You may hear it in the scripture you read. You may hear it at church. You may hear it in a song on the radio or tv. Last October he gave me two songs He was singing over me for the new decade. It was Sweet Caroline and Lord, won't you buy me a Mercedes Benz? (you can read more about this in my Oct. 28. 2019 blog here).
 Other times you may not hear the song, but you can feel the joy that His singing brings.  His song over you brings a peace that goes beyond your understanding.  There is satisfaction in your soul when there is no reason for it.  That is a result of Him singing over you!

Find a quiet place and ask God to let you hear the song He is singing over you today.

Day 5-Holy Lovers

As for the saints who  are  on the earth, “They are the excellent ones, in whom is all my delight.” NKJV   So I said to the Lord God, “You are my Maker, my Mediator, and my Master. Any good thing you find in me has come from you.” And he said to me , “My holy lovers are wonderful, my majestic ones, my glorious ones, fulfilling all my desires.”  TPT When you accepted Jesus, you became an excellent one who God delights in.  You are created to fulfill all His desires.  Can you wrap your head around that?  By becoming His holy lover, you are giving Him great pleasure, and a way for Him to fulfill His desires.   But what does it mean to be a holy lover? To be a holy lover is to choose to be one.  It takes a commitment of time and energy to become intimate with God.
